Henry Street Nursery offer a 2 year guarantee with any roses bought from this website or through our garden centre. If you experience any issues with the establishment of roses purchased from us within the first 2 years of planting please send pictures to roses@henrystreet.co.uk or call our team on 0118 9761223 to speak to a member of our team.
Henry street reserve the right to offer a direct replacement, alternative rose, additional care advice to give the existing plant more time to grow or a full refund for any roses covered by the rose guarantee. A picture of the rose will be required for any guarantee requests alongside a picture of the colour plant label supplied with each rose.
Shipping & Returns
Delivery cost £2.49 per order.
We use DPD for all our deliveries, upon dispatch you will receive an email confirming your rose has been shipped and providing you updates through delivery confirming estimated time of arrival.
Unfortunately due to updated plant health requirements following Brexit we are only able to ship to Mainland (including Isle of White) UK excluding Northern Ireland.
Our standard delivery is 1 - 3 days from point of order although may be extended in busy periods. We do not post roses on Fridays. As our roses are live plants we sometimes delay sending in extreme cold or heat to avoid them perishing due to extended delivery times.
How will my rose arrive
We have specially designed boxes to ensure any roses bought from us will travel safely to your home.
Our new crop of roses are dispatched from October and will arrive as newly potted bare root plants. These are ok to be planted out straight away or you can wait till the rose has started rooting in and plant in the spring. We feel that sending potted roses ensures you receive the best product as the rose remains well in moist compost through the journey and when planting you have a pot of our special blend of compost to get your rose off to the best of start.
In spring our roses will still be very small to look at but will have rooted into the pot and will be showing strong young growth.
May - September we will do our best to send out roses in flower or in bud but this will depend on the growing season as we may have to cut back the plant to keep them healthy with fresh growth.

Beautifully packaged, speedy delivery and great roses as always
I realise now that my first review might not have been very encouraging so here are my latest impressions: Despite me mixing my brother's fishing ground bait into the compost instead of the 'Fish, Blood & Bone' that I should have (they looked identical), the 'Rene Goscinnys' grew quite well and reached about 45cm high whilst in pots. I'm hoping they'll make 60-80cm next year (2025) when in the flower bed. 'Henri Delbard' might be a good alternative if you want a taller plant and 'Stephane Bern' (which isn't available in the UK yet) is also taller with darker flowers and possibly the bonus of very similar fragrance components to RG.
RG's flowers turned out to be striking - large filled saucers of cheerful bright orange and long-lasting on the bushes which gave me about 10 buds. - pretty good since they were off to a bad start.
The scent of just 2 open blooms (in ideal weather) was like an intense sugary peach/mango candy not typical rose at all and was detected in the air about 2 metres from the plants though a bit more faintly right inside the petals. Now that sounds illogical doesn't it? However, if you know a bit about roses you'll know that some of them don't smell so strong when you put your nostrils to the petals but even so they can spread their aroma some distance from the plant and it becomes more noticeable when mixed in the circulating air like those fireworks that 'pop!' and travel invisibly away from the original explosion and then blast out in all directions some distance away. I liked the smell more than my 'Lady Emma Hamilton' rose for example. Now I can't wait for next year's performance - with many more flowers hopefully!

Super fast delivery. Really good value of roses. I have ordered two bushes of roses. Both of them arrived undamaged. One of them had two buds which started to bloom a week ago. Tropicana has amazing smell.
This rose is so beautiful health with beautiful blooms and amazing scent. I like it. And it came with excellent condition.
This was a gift for my Auntie to remember my uncle.. she absolutely loves it and can’t wait to get it planted. It was packaged very well and delivery was when suggested.
Neat little plants. Should have been trimmed to outward facing buds though but even my local nursery doesn't always do that. They may then have required wider packaging so can't really fault that.
I elected to remove the 2 inch layer of bark chips and replaced those with compost & a little 'fish blood & bone'.
Looking forward to seeing them grow once they have rooted properly in the pots. The buds are growing but I was hoping that the plants would been rooted already but if I'd waited another month or two (for the roots to develop in the pots) before buying then they may have been out of stock for this year.
Also, they needed relabelling with the correct breeder code (TAN12690) not TANorstar which is the other deep orange 'Tropicana'/'Super Star' rose (also by Tantau). The seller explained that there was a mix-up when the labels were printed - an easy error to make.
Basically though, I'm very satisfied especially since I couldn't buy this variety anywhere else in the UK and I am confident they will become a great sensory feature in my garden!
